complex industrial process exhaust air
Process-independent exhaust air treatment for complex mixtures of pollutants
A wide range of organic solvents are used in the manufacture and processing of varnishes, paints and coating materials — for example, in paint shops or in the automotive industry — and these enter the air cycle via extraction systems. The need for comprehensive exhaust air treatment is stipulated in the TA Luft (Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control) as well as in national and international regulations.
Depending on the type and concentration of the pollutants, Evoran combines various processes to create a bespoke system: concentration using an adsorption wheel, UV photo-oxidation, catalytic oxidation, adsorption on activated carbon or zeolite, gas scrubbing and — for certain pollutant profiles — non-thermal plasma (NTP).
For example, Evoran implemented a system for Sun Chemical to remove VOCs from the printing ink production process.

Disinfection
In the case of exhaust air contaminated with microorganisms, UV photo-oxidation can be used as an additional means of disinfection: bacteria, viruses and fungal spores are inactivated by exposure to UV-C light.
